This historic house from the early 1900s is conveniently located near the railway station. The hotel has 5 bedrooms and boasts 99% original furniture and fittings, including beautiful tiled floors. The breakfast spread is superb with a variety of fruit, nuts, freshly squeezed juice, yogurt, croissants, baguettes. The garden is a delight, and the small swimming pool offers refreshing water even in the scorching 36C heat. Nîmes is a culturally vibrant place with fewer tourists than other coastal locations. The hosts provided excellent restaurant recommendations.
It felt like home, and we had no complaints.

We had an incredible stay at this historic guesthouse near the railway station. The house itself is a gem from the early 1900s, with beautiful tiled floors and authentic furnishings. Our room was cozy and private, and the host, Yves, made us feel like old friends. The breakfast spread was superb, with a variety of delicious options. We loved relaxing in the garden and taking refreshing dips in the small swimming pool. The location is perfect, close to the center but still peaceful. La Maison De Sophie exceeded all our expectations and we can't wait to return.
Everything was fantastic! 🌟

Beautiful hotel that exceeded our expectation - we've promised ourselves we'll return.
Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the old-fashioned shower that required holding the shower head and the lack of variations in the breakfast menu, these were outweighed by the overall positive experience. The personal service provided by the host, Yves, was exceptional, and he made us feel truly welcome.

Stayed in a fancy old building where I could pretend to be a rich aristocrat. Loved the garden and pool, perfect for sipping champagne while pretending to care about the commoners.
Such a shame, the shower was so old-fashioned, you had to actually hold it yourself. How quaint, like in the days of our grandmothers.

Ronald
Excellent location, historic house, charming rooms, welcoming staff, superb breakfast.
Nothing to mention.

Andrew
The location of this hotel was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and close to the city center. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a variety of fruits, yogurt, croissants, and fresh juice. The small pool in the garden was a wonderful bonus, providing a refreshing escape from the hot weather.
The shower setup was a bit old-fashioned, requiring you to hold the showerhead while standing in the bathtub. However, for those who appreciate the authenticity and charm of a historic hotel, this may not be a problem.
